About Us

Pacific Northwest Chapter of WAEYC is a local Association for the Education of Young Children. PNW Chapter (formerly the Snohomish County Association for the Education of Young Children) is a nonprofit made up of friends and followers who represent the field of early childhood education. Our community of early childhood educators, policymakers, family service organizations and others focus on the welfare, overall development, and education of young children. Our association is a chapter of the Washington Association for the Education of Young Children.

Mission

Our mission is to support the early learning community through professional development trainings, workshops, and conferences that promote quality teaching and developmental practices for children. The mission of NAEYC, our parent organization, is to advocate for the needs, rights, and wellbeing of young children with the primary focus on providing educational and developmental services.

Vision

Our vision is that every young child in Washington will have access to the highest quality of care and education.

Purpose

We seek to facilitate the optimal development of young children by advocating for the rights, needs, and well-being of young children by way of educating, supporting, and collaborating with individuals and organizations working in direct or indirect service to young children.

Value Statement

We value the impact we make as early childhood professionals through public awareness, advocacy, professional development, and networking to achieve positive outcomes for all children and their families.
