2020 Winter Workshop

Pacific Northwest Chapter of WAEYC is hosting a Winter Workshop, “How Can I Care for Infants and Toddlers through all this PPE!?” on December 10th. Join us!

With all the new requirements to keep teachers, caregivers, and children safe, connection and caring can feel sanitary and foreign. Explore options to building connections and caring for the youngest children while keeping your sanity.

Where: Online via ZOOM

Who: For infant & toddler providers, administrators, parents, and others working with children using PPE

Cost: $10 for WAEYC/NAEYC Members | $15 for non-members

About the Presenter

Amber Havens is a national speaker with 33 years of experience in the field of early childhood education. Her current role is as Executive Director at Educational Training Partners, a national agency supporting early learning professionals through education, training, mentoring, coaching, and more. Her passion is improving quality care and education through racial justice and equity. When she is not working, Amber enjoys time with 3 boys, camping, hiking, and enjoying the beautiful Pacific Northwest.

Learning Outcomes

  1. Through discussion and exploration of research, participants will be able to share the importance of updated health and safety measures during the pandemic.
  2. Through small group activities, sharing of experience, and reviewing Public Health Guidance, participants will identify at least 3 ways to build connections with children and follow the new regulations.
